I think going to the apple farm is one of my most favorite field trips. Not only is it a reminder that fall is fast approaching, but it always has that fresh crispness to the air, the smell of ripe fruit ( and of course the smell from the animals in the barn), and a feeling of change. I am so thankful to have my helper Nickolas who came with us this year. Watching him pull the wagon, pick the "up high" apples, and playing "monster" with the kids brings back so many memories of not only when he was the little kid on the field trip, but also of all the other children who have shared in the experience of getting to go pick your own apples and corn with me.

I love this post. LOVE IT! As soon as I can figure it out, we're going out there again. And I especially love the pic of Rosie holding Nick's hand: awwww! Thanks for taking the kids on such awesome field trips, Donna!
