Go puddle jumpers!

Today turned out to be a great day for a hike! the rain cleared up, no wind, warm weather and no crowds! The best part though, was all the huge puddles! We walked from the Library all the way to Rocky Point park, had some play time at the playground, a little snack, and then all the way back!!! Considering how little every ones legs are, that's a long ways to go! Well done my little hikers!

my little helpers

Even though the groundhog said that there would be 6 more weeks of winter, I think he was wrong! In our backyard spring has sprung! This means time to replace what is left of our grass. I have got the most eager helpers out there. When ever I put down my shovel to go help someone one of the kids always goes to have a turn to help. There seams to be a mysterious lure to either the big people shovel or digging in what is suppose to be grass. Not sure what it is, but I love the effort!

Thanks for the help my little friends!

Takin a Break

Today we had our first outside snack of the year! The weather was warm enough to go jumping on Sheri's trampoline while Donna helped Sheri move plants (before the diggers come to start the renovations to her house). We started off with rain pants, boots, hats, gloves ect..... the more they bounced, the more pieces of clothing had to come off! Those little rosy cheeks were a sure sign of spring approaching. Those who didn't jump on the trampoline came and helped dig in the dirt. Both Hazel and Cayane also enjoyed the fallen bits of rice cakes that we left behind.

Christmas Fun

Merry Christmas memories!

Thank you everyone for helping to make this years daycare party a fun time had by all. Thanks also goes out to Nickolas who took all the photos, Chloe who wrapped all the presents, Randall who made the ham, and to all the parents for my "keeping warm in winter" basket. I love it!

Your never too big for dress up time!

After receiving new dress up clothes from Chloe's friends Natalie and Melissa the "big boys" thought they would get into the Halloween dress up mood by doing a little fashion show before school!

A day at the apple farm

Nathan found this mini pumpkin when we first walked through the gate. He caried it all over the farm the entire time we stayed there.

Even though some of the corn that the kids picked wasn't big enough to eat, the ones that we had for dinner that night were the best corn that I have tasted in a long time!

Amelia enjoyed her fresh picked apple SO much that all that has left to hand back to me was the stem.

Seconds after this photo was taken drew got his first bee sting just under his neck.

All the kids enjoyed checking out all the animals in the barns.

Now thats a pumpkin!

Just looking at the photos brings me back to the warmth of the day. We couldn't ask for a nicer way to spend the first Pro D day of the new school year. Other than Drew and Chloe getting stung by a bee, it was a fun filled day. I think feeding the goats was the highlight for a few people, but my favorite part was definatly biting into the Honney Crisp apple that had dew on one side and felt warm from the sun on the other. Yummmmm!

A somersault day

Its a somersault kind of day!
Phoenix showed all his friends how to do a somersault on the side of the little hill in the back yard today. Everyone wanted to give it a try including Nathan who only got as far as falling over sideways, but still spent 20 minutes trying .
