Summer: week 7

This final week before summer draws to a close was super busy... orientation for the new guy, the daycare party down at the beach where we said our goodbye to Ethan and Evelyn, walks to the park, much needed rain, and of course all those summer art ideas that we haven't had time to get to!

So given the choice of clay or shaving cream.... well, as you can see.....

Now my friend Ben REALLY got into it.... as you can tell by the color of his hair!

The kids had a blast (except for Kai who didn't seem to enjoy the "messy" aspect of this art)

My favorite part about doing shaving cream for art is that when your done.... 

every one smells to clean and fresh!

Summer:week 6 (Sam's birthday)

Time seems to be going by so fast!  

Some days i wish we could slow the clock just a little bit...

My favorite day this week was seeing the excitement and words expressed by my friend Sam. 

When it was time for afternoon snack i said to her "lets go in and get our party hat on and have some birthday cake". Her little eyes opened so wide and she squealed "happy birthday to me"!

I love watching when they kids "get it"!

Summer:week 5

What a great first week back!

 I have to say, i love going on holidays, but i really did miss all my little friends!

Usually the first few days back are kinda rough ... its like everyones first day... a little apprehensive, but it was awesome! Sam was the first one here and she came straight to me, gave me a hug, grabbed my hand and said "come play" and dragged me into the playroom!

My favorite day this week was when we got out the play dough for art time. Art usually starts around 9 and i clean it up when everyone is done.... well on this day, the kids spent the whole inside time creating, sharing, and exploring their imaginations at the play dough table! I loved that each person was doing or making something different.
