Summer; week 4

One might think that the last day before my holiday begins would be my favorite day of the week (and the fact that it's also cookie Friday), but this week it was Thursday... our adventure to Blue Mountain Park! When i loaded all the kids in the car i wasn't sure where we were going to go, but as i pulled up to the intersection... right to Queens park or left to Blue mountain.... hmmmmm, left it is!

Good choice!

After playing at the playground for a while everyone said they were hot, soooo......

 into the water park we went!

I figured with the heat all the car seats would dry in no time!

 I know its not a flattering photo Rosie, 

but for some reason it makes me laugh every time i look at it!

I love my job!

Kai joins the 4 club

And another one moves up to  the four club!

Summer: week 3

Hmmmmmm, only on week three and already i cant pick a best day!

This week was an awesome week. Summer has truly arrived bringing with it warm days filled with new adventures, discoveries and growth! 

Earlier this week Wesley, Kai and Jasper came to watch as I emptied the new package of laundry clips into the bucket.... well that led to making monster claws! Love the imagination that a simple piece of wood can inspire!

My next favorite moment this past week was our beach day!

 Even though it was still windy Sam's hat stayed on this time .... making for a much happier beach day! 

We rescued starfish, clams and some tiny crabs from the scorching sunshine. Rosie and Kai tried to "swim" though the splashing waves while squealing and giggling with glee!

Fridays adventure took us to the Coquitlam river for a play on an empty playground, a walk through the cool trees with the most fantastic filtered sunshine shinning through the leaves , and a discovery of a small trail that led us to the river! We spent our time in the river enjoying the sunshine, splashing, throwing rocks, building a "hot tub", exploring and enjoying those little moments in life that make you want to smile!
