Merry Christmas everyone!

The annual daycare Christmas party,

Is an evening of laughter,

Great food,

Loads of fun,

And of course, friends!

For the past week during story time the children have asked SEVERAL times " is it your party today?" That excitement makes it all worth while.

When asked the next day "what was your favorite part" ,

The answer is always "all of it!"

My favorite part is giving the parents an opportunity to watch how their children interact with their daycare friends.

And of course getting a chance to visit with each other.

And seeing how proud the kids are when they present the gift that they had worked on and kept a secret to give to their parents.

What a wonderful group of families that I have the privilege to be part of! I just want to say thank you to everyone for coming and helping make the daycare party fun for everyone. Thank you for all the delicious food and drinks that everyone brought to share. But most important, thank you everyone for spoiling me with all the wonderful gifts that you gave me! You were all so very thoughtful and I really do appreciate everything that you have done for me. Thank you! Have a wonderful Christmas together and we will see you in the new year!

SNOW DAY!

While sitting here listening to the cold rain, our first snowfall of this winter (technically it's still fall) seems like forever ago. We knew that it wasn't going to last, so we spent as much time outside as possible to enjoy the fun, fluffy, beautiful snow!

Some of us loved pulling the sled around the yard...
others loved to dig in it....

some learned how to catch snowflakes on our tongue....

while others favorite part was to eat it....

and some of us took this opportunity to create a new friend!

Happy Halloween

Everyone had a great time during our strong start dress up halloween party!

Even when the fire alarm went off.....
and we had to wait outside on the wet field for 15 minutes!

The positive part of that was getting to see a fire truck up close....

while they did a 20 point turn in the school parking lot!

Pumpkin Time!

This year we thought we would try something new, instead of going to the pumpkin field we went to Art Knapp's fall funland.

I waited for the pro D day in October, and apparently so did everyone else!

Even though it was very busy, all the kids had loads of fun.

Nathans favorite part of the whole day the train ride through the haunted tunnel.

This is my favorite photo from the day.... it sums up everyones attention span!

With all the kids running around Evelyn was a little overwhelmed. I think that was why her favorite part of the day was going into the store part with Chloe to go look at all the cool displays they had set up.

Drew and Amelia on the other hand could have spent the whole day in the bouncy castle!

Layla & Jamie had the most fun on the zip line ride.

Sophia... she enjoyed it all!

Note to self..... next time, not on a pro D day!

Worker girl

Evelyn is such a funny little girl.

These are too cute not to share!

Maybe construction work in her future? who knows, the possibilities are endless!

Shootin hoops

One of my favorite parts of my job is to sit back and watch the children play!

Everyone tried SO hard to make that ball go into the hoop
Some tried the 'make yourself taller' technique by standing in the tire

While others tried the 'just get as close as possible' idea.

Either way.....

when it did go in...

Everyone jumped for joy!

This past week seemed to bring out the silliness in these two friends.

They started out as dancing together...
Which lead to goofy laughter ...
Then of course tackling!
